With a vision of helping people beyond the normal Health Club attitude and overall ineptness, The Training Center's vision of providing people with Realistic answers and solutions to honest health and fitness questions, has been its goal since day One. We believe that people need to treat their bodies like any other valuable commodity. That they need to invest in themselves, both physically and financially, in order to reap the benefits of health and fitness. Yet, we would like to be able to get into the best shape of our lives at a commercial Health Club for $19.95 a month, or about the cost of the bottle of wine we share each night with our partner. Guess what? It's not going to happen! Period! Save the $19.95/ month, enjoy the wine, and quit kidding yourselves. Trainers Dan Potts is co-owner of The Training Center as well as an Advanced Athlete Strength Specialist who has been working with elite competitive athletes for two decades. He is the owner of Advanced Athlete, LLC. His expertise in sport biomechanics allows him to access the needs of every athlete, no matter what sport he or she participates in. Believing that strength and power must not only be functional, but also transferable to the field of play, Dan has developed movements using a variety of training modalities in order to give every athlete he coaches the greatest degree of strength utilization possible. Pritam Andreassen is co-owner of The Training Center as well as the owner of The Strength Connection, LLC. She is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).Her specialty is in helping golfers of all ages develop strength and explosive power. She speaks about strength, power & conditioning for golf at golf courses throughout the Seattle area and writes about golf and fitness nationally and regionally. Elston Cloy has a background in multiple sports as well as extensive experience in physical rehabilitation. His expertise is in core strength and power development through dynamic movement and injury prevention. He works with clients and athletes of all ages and abilities.Meadow Pritchard is a nationally certified personal trainer and USA Boxing certified boxing coach. He is the owner of Argo Fitness. He combines traditional boxing training methods with cutting edge strength, comditioning, endurance and flexibility training methods to provide his clients the most effective and fun workouts possible. Bronsa Swint is both a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (also known as a “Strength Coach”, National Strength and Conditioning Association) and a Certified Personal Trainer (National Association of Sports Medicine) giving her the expertise to work with athletes or the general population. She has been coaching cross country and track and field for ten years and is delighted she has been able to turn her passion for health and fitness into a career. In her training business, On the Ball Fitness, she has worked with all ages and all fitness levels. She believes it is important to focus improving flexibility, balance and joint integrity through appropriate, personalized, strength training. Bronsa's experience as a running coach gives her great insight into why knees, feet, and hips might hurt during movement and how to remedy this. Her clients, young and old, view her as a great role model; she practices what she preaches and finished fourth in her age category in her last half marathon. She offers personal training, group training, outdoor track workouts, barefoot running information, and various flexibility clinics. Joel Thomas is an athletic engineer and movement specialist, integrating an eclectic approach of movement conditioning, strength training, sports specific conditioning, and general nutritional consulting at his company, Out of Bounds Fitness in Seattle, Washington. He is a former NCAA Division I Varsity Strength & Conditioning Coach at University of Idaho, Washington State University, & Seattle University. He has spent over 15 years serving the health and fitness industry as a national lecturer, collegiate faculty, department chair, athletic engineer, master trainer, assistant director of the 20/20 Lifestyles Clinic, and movement specialist. Joel has performed over 200 lectures, has written educational materials and consulted/lectured for organizations such as: University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics, The National Academy of Sports Medicine and The American College of Sports Medicine, The PRO Sports Club, and Lake Washington Technical College as well as other fitness, educational and medical facilities around the country. Joel has earned his Master of Science Degree in Movement Science at University of Idaho, his Master of Education Degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership at the University of Washington, is a Fellow of Applied Functional Science, holds an international certification to practice Functional Manual Reaction (FMR), and is a certified American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Specialist®.
