Coach Joel Thomas creator of THE CLIMB is here to launch professional and collegiate level functional strength and conditioning across Seattle.

- Burn up to 1000 calories in only 1 hour

- Alternates short but intense aerobic & anaerobic intervals blended with 3-D total body strength & conditioning

- Extremely unique, creative, & dynamic training concepts

If you are looking for a “bootcamp” with a drill sergeant, group exercise instructor, or a personal trainer to scream at you into failure then THE CLIMB is not for you. While these traditional and conventional “bootcamps” or group exercise workouts jolt or crush your body with hopes of intense or insane fitness madness it seems these programs have a lifespan of 6 weeks or less until boredom or plateau sets in. THE CLIMB or “Workout of the Day” on the other hand, is an efficient group strength training & conditioning workout that will strengthen and tone your muscles, trim inches off your waist, turbo charge your endorphins, blast your metabolism, improve your movement and posture, reshape and transform your body, and ultimately get you into the best condition of your life while having FUN in an awesome TEAM environment. The most amazing part is that no CLIMB is ever the same, it becomes systematically more intense week in and week out so you will never get bored and will never plateau.

Coach Joel tells the “CLIMBERS” or athletes to always expect the unexpected. For that they keep on coming back year after year for more encouraging, empowering, and body transformation. We don’t have the time or patience to isolate or focus on one muscle group at a time or two body parts per day. Let’s get it DONE!

We welcome all levels. Just please bring YOUR 110%!

Flexibility Clinic – Foam Roll, 60 minutes, $35 includes a foam roller you take with you!

Plantar fasciitis or heel pain?  Shin splints?  Knee pain?  IT band issues? Or just feel tight?  Focusing on improving flexibility will help tremendously! Did you know poor flexibility hinders sport performance?  A locked up joint simply can't produce power and tight muscles inhibit the range of motion in joints. Are you cycling because your knees hurt when you run? There is a solution!  We need to address tissue density as well muscle length - this is why foam rolling is such a great tool to combine with stretching.

A hands-on clinic to learn how to use a foam roller for self myofascial release (SMR) that helps muscles relax and joints move, reduces soft tissue adhesions, and improves posture and spinal awareness.  Learn which joints tend to be affected the most by sitting and computer use and get the knowledge to reverse this.  Improve your joint flexibility and increase your power while reducing the risk of injury. Learn strategies to keep your IT bands moving fluidly - no knee or hip pain when running! All ages welcome!

Register via email: Bronsa@ontheballfitness.biz. Class size is limited to 8 participants. Dress in clothes you can move in and in layers.

Information on foam rolling available on my website at: http://www.ontheballfitness.biz/page/resources

Stretching Clinic for Coaches, 60 minutes, $25

As a coach are you wondering about all the changing research on stretching?  This one hour clinic will provide insight into the current research on active warm up movements versus static cool down stretches.  As a 'hands on' course you will learn by doing dynamic pre-activity warm-up exercises and after game cool down activities.  Special emphasis on how to communicate to your athletes that flexibility is a component of athleticism and that improving flexibility will improve power production.  Learn a variety of stretches using just the ground, and many using 'props' such as benches, walls, balls, and yoga straps.   Bronsa has 10 years coaching experience and can also offer tips on how to instruct large teams and/or younger kids.
